Our client, an AM Law 100 firm known for its strong client relationships and excellent culture, is looking to hire an experienced partner or counsel with experience in labor relations and union representations for employers. Ideally the candidate would also have had exposure to OSHA, and understand the issues surrounding accidents at work.
This national law firm has a well-established employer-side litigation practice with successful teams stationed around the US. The firm has been actively investing into the labor and employment practice and the incoming candidate would have the full support of the team heads and the management committee.
The team has incoming requests for representations before OSHA as well as for issues with unions and dealing with the press surrounding workplace amputations and fatalities. The incoming candidate will be fully supported with work and will be able to hit 100% utilisation. However, if the candidate has their own clients, there is room for bringing them if that is desired and workload can be managed.
The firm has gone from strength-to-strength in recent years, having made strategic hires as well as focusing on organic growth. This resulted in PEP growing 20% in 2023 and a staggering 30% growth in PEP in 2024. They offer competitive salaries for partners, offering above-market rate and not necessarily adhering to the ‘third of book’ rule. They also offer additional financial rewards to partners who encourage collaboration and teamwork and help the firm achieve specific targets.
